RUT (MIIT) timetable in Google, Apple and Yandex Calendar
Updated 28.10.2026
The RUT (MIIT) timetable can be added to Google, Apple and Yandex Calendar: on the timetable page open "Export to calendar" and subscribe to the timetable, download an .ics file or copy a link for manual subscription. And "My calendar" in VISH is your group's classes together with your events and deadlines on one page.
The personal calendar is your group's classes together with your events and deadlines on one "Calendar" page. The calendar is switched on separately for each installation of the app: if the menu has no "Calendar" item, it is off on this installation.
Everything you add to the calendar is stored only on this device, in this browser: events do not reach VISH's servers and are not synced between devices, and if you clear the browser's data, they are gone. That is why the calendar works without a network, and anything important is worth keeping as a backup copy (see below).
Where to find it
- In the side menu on a computer and in the "☰" menu on a phone — the "Calendar" item, right after "Schedule".
- In "Settings" → "Calendar and data" → "My calendar" — "Open calendar".
- In the "Export to calendar" window on the timetable page — the link "Add your own calendars to VISH →", and in the lesson's window and sheet — "Add a note or deadline to this class".
Classes appear when your group is chosen in the settings; without it the calendar says "To see your classes here, choose your group in the settings."
Views
The switch "Day", "Week" and "List"; the arrows page through days, weeks or two weeks of the list, "Today" returns to the current day. Above the view is a summary: how many classes, events and overlaps.
- Overlaps. If your event falls during a class, the event is marked "Overlaps with …"; the class card itself does not change. You can turn the mark off: "Settings" → "Calendar and data" → "Overlaps with classes".
- Free gaps. A break between classes from the chosen length (60 minutes by default, changed in the same place, "Show free gaps from") is shown as "Free 1 h 30 min". In the gap there are the buttons "Event" — add an event for this time — and "Rooms" — the free rooms for that day and for the nearest class inside the gap.
The page address keeps the day and the view, for example "/calendar?date=2026-10-20&view=week"; "&event=new" opens a new event at once.
Your own events and deadlines
The "Event" button opens the editor. "What to add" — "Event" (title, date, start and end or "All day", place) or "Deadline" ("What is due", the due date and time). You can choose a subject from your classes, a calendar, labels (your own, with a colour), a reminder and a note.
- Quick add. The "Quick add" line understands a phrase like "retake 9.10 14:00 room 1234": the date, the time or the class number, the room, a subject from your classes and a deadline — and shows what it understood as chips. A wrong chip is removed with the cross, "Fill in" moves what was understood into the fields. The text is parsed on this device and sent nowhere; nothing is saved until you press "Save". In the English and Chinese interface only numeric dates and times are understood.
- Repeat. "Every day", "Every week", "Every 2 weeks", "Every month" or chosen days of the week — forever, until a date or a number of times. When you change or delete one event of a series, the app asks: "Only this one" or "All events in the series".
- A deadline is marked done right in the calendar; an overdue one is captioned "overdue".
Calendars
The "Calendars" button opens a list: "My classes" (the timetable, read-only), "My events" and your calendars. Each has a colour and a visibility switch, and the row's menu has "Rename", "Delete" and "Export to .ics".
Import a calendar. "From an .ics file" accepts a file from Google Calendar, Yandex Calendar, Apple Calendar and others (up to 10 MB; you can also simply drop it on the page). The file is read on this device and sent nowhere. Then choose "The whole calendar" — it appears as a separate read-only calendar, which you can hide or delete as a whole — or "Pick events": the ticked events become copies in "My events", and you can change them. An event of an imported calendar can be copied to yours with the "Add to my events" button.
Reminders
A reminder is set in the event: at the start, 10 or 30 minutes before, an hour, a day or a week before. While VISH is open, the app reminds you of events of the nearest day with a pop-up message, a system notification (if you allowed it with the "Turn on notifications" button) and a number on the app icon. Reminders that went off, or were missed while VISH was closed, wait in the "Reminders" card on the calendar page with the buttons "Dismiss" and "Dismiss all".
When VISH is closed, only your phone's calendar can remind you. The "Add to phone calendar" button downloads an .ics file with your events, their copies and open deadlines, where every one already has a reminder in it: open it, and the events with reminders appear in your phone's calendar.
Sharing an event
The "Share" button is on the calendar page, in the window of your own event and in the details of an imported one. Tick the events — the window shows exactly what the recipient will see; classes are not sent by link, and the note only if you turn on "Add the note". The event is written into the link itself and does not reach the server, so a link cannot be revoked. You can copy the link, show it as a QR code or send it through "More…"; if there are many events, the link becomes too long, and the window offers an .ics file.
The recipient opens the link without signing in. The page warns that a user created the event and VISH has not checked it, and offers "Save to VISH" (into the "Received by link" calendar on their device; the same event is not added twice), "Add to phone calendar (.ics)", "Google Calendar" or "Outlook". If the link was not copied in full, the page says so and asks to send it again.
Backup
In "Settings" → "Calendar and data" → "Backup":
- "Download a backup" — a file with all the calendar's data from this device. Subscription links do not get into it until you tick "Include subscription links": a subscription link is a secret. The file is not encrypted: keep it like a personal document.
- "Restore from a file" (up to 20 MB) first shows what will change: "14 will be added, 3 updated, 120 unchanged". Nothing is deleted: where both have a record, the later edit wins. Subscriptions without a link come back marked "link needed".
- "Export to .ics" — your events, copies and deadlines for your phone's calendar or another service.
If the calendar has 10 or more entries and there has been no backup for 14 days, the settings show the line "Backup: it has been a while".
If something is wrong
- "This browser can't save calendar data" — for example, in a private window: open VISH in a regular browser window or install the app.
- "The calendar is read-only" — another VISH tab is using the data now: close it, and you can edit again.
- If the classes did not load, the calendar shows your events and the "Try again" button.
