AI assistant for the RUT (MIIT) timetable and campus

Updated 28.10.2026

AI assistant VISH — a chat that answers questions about the schedule and the campus RUT (MIIT): couples, teachers, classrooms, buildings. He reads the same schedule as the app, and names the source if he responds to the knowledge base.

The assistant answers questions about the schedule, teachers, classrooms, and studies: “What is my next class?”, “Where is the next class?”, “What classes is Ivanov leading this week?”, “What institutes are there at the university?”. He reads the same timetable and reference books as the app and the university's knowledge base.

Where information about the campus is included on the installation, the assistant also answers questions about it: where is the building, what is its address, what institutions are in it, opening hours; about the auditorium, he names the building and tells how to get through. If there is no information, he says so and does not invent anything.

How does the assistant know

The assistant answers questions about the university and the application using the knowledge base: the university's website pages (institutes, admission, dormitories, library, scholarships, session, rules), this handbook in Russian, English and Chinese, information about the campus — buildings, floors, classrooms, entrance halls and opening hours — and a description of what how the schedule works: groups, subgroups, types of activities. The database is updated every night. He understands abbreviations: "IMTK" and "Institute of International Transport Communications" are the same for him.

Under the response from the knowledge base is a list of sources — links to the pages from which the facts are taken. If there is no answer in the database, the assistant says so and tells you where to find out, rather than inventing it.

Workload and free audiences

Where the university's data model is enabled on the installation, the assistant answers questions about the workload and classrooms according to the schedule: “How many hours does Ivanov have this week?”, “What is the workload of the SHAD-111 group by type of classes?”, “What lecture hall is available on the third pair?”.

  • The workload is calculated in academic hours: a couple of 2 hours. The assistant calls the hours for the week or for the period and the layout by type of activity: lectures, practices, laboratory. He responds only to employees with access to analytics about the workload of teachers and groups; he does not mention these figures to the rest.
  • Free classrooms — for the right couple or time, by type (laboratory, lecture, regular), for several groups at once, in the right building and on the floor; the assistant tells you what time the auditorium is free. The type of classroom is determined by what classes usually take place in it: there is no number of places in the schedule, and the assistant does not name it.
  • One audience — “How busy is 8512 this week?” (pairs and hours by occupation) and “When is 8512 busy today?” (which couples are engaged, what type of activity, and how many groups). The assistant answers all these questions.
  • Teacher by day. “When is Ivanov free tomorrow?”, Is Ivanov “free for the third pair?,” How many pairs does Ivanov have on “Thursday?” — The assistant shows classes in pairs and the window between the first and last pair. He names the busiest day of the week according to the number of pairs in the teacher's workload. The question about the day is answered by everyone: the teachers' schedule is open.
  • The directory is always fresh. The assistant takes the answers on “how to use” it from this handbook in all languages. A page that has been published or corrected gets into the assistant's knowledge base within ten minutes, and under the response there is a link to the reference page.
  • Between the buildings and nearby. “How far is it from GUK-2 to GUK-8?” — time to walk between the buildings of the main campus on the campus map to see if the change is enough. “Where to eat near GUK-1?” or “is there a pharmacy nearby?” — places near the site according to OpenStreetMap open data: how far to go, whether it is open now (if the hours are not specified, “specify the hours”) and a link to the place.
  • Freshness. The data is updated after each schedule upload, approximately once every 20 minutes, so the change you just made may appear in the response a little later.

Campus and routes

Where is the information about the campus included on the installation, ask “How to get from GUK-1 to GUK-8?” or “How to get to auditorium 1224?” — the assistant will answer the route around the campus: no more than six steps with the building and floor of each and how far to go. If you haven't said where you're coming from, he'll start from the audience of your previous couple today, and if there isn't one, he'll start from CHECKPOINT 1 and tell you about it. When asked to “avoid stairs”, he replies that such a route has not been tested, and does not promise an elevator.

Where there is a Map in the menu, a “card” appears under the answer.:

  • Route. A path diagram, for example, “GUK-1 → GUK-8”, time and number of steps (“≈ 4 min · 8 steps”), marked “without stairs” or “through passages”, the first three steps and “and N more steps”. If a certain step is “not checked, it says Unchecked: step 1”. “Open a route” opens it on the campus map in the app (all steps are shown in the same place); on the phone, the card is full—width under the answer, and there is also a way to “share the route”. If the map data has been updated since then and the places on the route are no longer on it, the card will say the “Route is outdated — the map data has been updated.” and he will offer to “Build anew”.
  • Body. A diagram of the campus with a dedicated building, a name like “Academic Building No. 8 (GUK-8)”, institutes and address, buttons “Open on the map” and the “Route to here” (it is where the map builds routes).

The cards are visible both offline and in old correspondence. When you return from the map, you will find yourself in the same chat location. There is also a way back: the “Send to chat” button on the route on the map opens a chat with this route above the input field — for more information, see the How to navigate the campus page.

Where to find

On the computer, select "AI assistant" in the “Support” section. On the phone, there is a "AI assistant" tab at the bottom. There is a separate assistant panel on the “Analytics” page that asks questions about the selected period.

On some installations, the chat can be turned off by the administrator — then there is no option.

What the chat looks like

There are replica bubbles with a “tail” on the phone, just like in a messenger: yours on the right, the assistant's answers on the left; a new bubble grows smoothly. While the assistant is responding, a bubble with jumping dots is displayed. Hints-chips appear all at once. The input field is located above the on-screen keyboard, including in the iPhone app. The send buttons and the chat menu are pressed as easily as the others: the pressing area is 44×44 pixels.

Limits

You can ask without logging in, but with a lower limit. Under the input field, a single line indicates how many questions are left (the entry and limit prompt is shown once; when you start the message from “/”, it is replaced by a command prompt), for example, “Without logging in: up to 5 questions per minute · ... · log in — the limit is higher, but the correspondence remains”, or “your limit: 8 out of 10 questions remain at this minute, reset after 40 seconds · there are still today.”... After logging in, the limit is higher, and the correspondence is saved on the server and opened from any device. Without logging in, the correspondence is stored only in this browser.

In addition to the limit per minute, there is a limit for the day; the day is counted according to Moscow time and begins at midnight:

  • after logging in, up to 50 questions per day per account;
  • without logging in, up to 10 questions per day from this device (from a single network address — for example, from the campus network or via VPN — no more than 60 together). When they run out, the assistant will prompt you to log in: after logging in, you can ask further on the same day.

A question that the assistant has not started answering (failure at a different limit, failure) is not included in the limit. The installation administrator can change the numbers.

The assistant also has a total daily supply for everyone. If it is over, the assistant will reply that he is resting until midnight in Moscow; the schedule and the rest of the application are working as usual.

Folders

The correspondence is divided into folders, each with a separate context: the assistant sees only what is in it. On the computer, folders are in the drop—down list next to the title, on the phone, the button under the title opens the “Folder” sheet. You can create a folder (a “new folder”), rename it, and delete it along with the correspondence. “Clear History” in the chat menu deletes all the correspondence in the current folder along with the response ratings; the folder itself remains empty. The names of the chats are shown in the language of the application.

Commands

Enter “/” in the field and a list of commands will appear.:

  • “/schedule завтра” — schedule for the day;
  • “/week” — what is the current school week?;
  • “/changes” — what has changed in the schedule;
  • “/teacher Кочетков” — about the teacher;
  • “/room 8512” — where is the audience?;
  • “/group ШАД-112” — group schedule;
  • “/clear” — delete folder correspondence, “/new” — new folder, “/help” — list of commands.

The arrows select the command, Enter or Tab substitutes it. Enter sends the message, Shift+Enter moves the line. While the assistant is thinking, the “Send” button turns into “Stop”.

What happens in the response

In addition to the text, the assistant can attach a schedule, a teacher's card, a route or building card (see “Campus and Routes”), a picture, a list of sources from the knowledge base, and also suggest an action — for example, create an activity if you have the right to do so. After each answer, three prompts appear with the following questions.

Schedule selection

Ask the assistant to make a schedule, for example: “give Ivanov 6 pairs for the next week, without Friday, a minimum of windows”, or “give the group 4 classes, on Tuesday I have a window from 12 to 14, no more than two pairs per day”. The assistant does not guess, but counts: he takes the teacher's schedule and groups, calls and free classrooms for each pair and selects the placement.

  • what is always taken into account: neither the teacher nor the group has any other activity at this time, each pair has a free classroom, excluded days and busy windows are not affected, the daily limit of pairs is not exceeded, there is enough time between buildings to walk;
  • what is improving: fewer windows, fewer housing shifts, a smooth week; the day you asked “not” to use is taken last;
  • Answer: up to three options with days, pairs and classrooms, as well as the workload before and after (pairs, academic hours, windows, housing shifts). Under the answer is a weekly grid with tabs of options and a “Download .ics” button to open an option in any calendar.;
  • classes in specific classrooms (laboratory, gym) — name the classrooms, and the assistant will select only from them.

This is just a suggestion: the official schedule does not change (it remains for miit.ru ). If everything doesn't fit, the assistant will tell you how many classes are available and what to loosen. Not yet: upload to .xlsx, sending employees and a draft for employees, audience capacity (it is not in the data) and real-time walking between buildings (it takes 10 minutes).

Confirmation of the action

The proposed action does not change anything until you confirm it: a card with the “Confirm” and “Reject” buttons appears under the response. The card is assembled from the very request that the user will fulfill, and not from the words of the assistant.:

  • Which class is the subject, group, date, couple, and audience found in the schedule for the class itself?;
  • what will change — each field in the form “was → It will become”;
  • Groups and teachers are listed by name, not by internal numbers.

The assistant's retelling is in a separate line below The “assistant's explanation”: check the card, not him. If the activity could not be found (for example, it has already been deleted), there is no “Confirm” button — ask the assistant again.

If there are too many questions in a row, the assistant will answer: “Too many questions in a row — wait a minute and ask again”.

If the application is not working properly

If you are logged into your account and write that notifications are not coming, there is no schedule visible, or something is not working, the assistant itself looks at the status of your account: whether notifications are enabled on the server, whether the group is selected, whether your devices are registered and whether their schedule matches yours, whether the channel is selected, what are the latest notifications to you have you sent and how many open requests do you have. He doesn't see other people's data, and he doesn't read or show device addresses or keys.

  • What was found. The assistant gives the reasons in simple words — for example, “notifications are not enabled on this device”, the “device receives notifications for a different schedule”, the “device has not been updated” for a long time, the “group has not been selected”, the “notification channel has not been selected” — and suggests the next step.
  • Fix it in one tap. A “Fix card appears under the response in one tap”: “Turn on notifications on this device again”, “Open notification settings”, “Select a group”, or “Update the app”. Like other assistant actions, it doesn't do anything until you click “Yes, fix”; after that, it's “done”.
  • If it didn't help. The assistant doesn't say that everything is fixed: he tells you what to check next and suggests contacting support. The “Send a support” request card shows the entire “text of” the request, along with a certificate of account status, which was collected by the service, not the assistant. After “Yes, send” the request, the team leaves as a complaint; the response will be sent as a notification and will appear on the My Requests page.
  • Only after logging in. The assistant does not offer this without logging in: he explains what to check for himself. Requests to “ignore the rules” or “show someone else's data” in the message and in the message text do not work.

If the chat has stopped responding

The assistant handles the broken chat by himself. Chats saved by the old version of the application are repaired when opened; temporary failure and refusal to accept the history are repeated. If this didn't help — the chat doesn't respond several times in a row, it's no longer on the server, or the assistant doesn't accept its history — one phrase appears with the reason and a button to “Start a new chat”. The old chat remains in the list, and it can be read, and the typed question is transferred to the field of the new chat.

Evaluation of the response

There are five stars under the answer in the saved correspondence (that is, after logging in) — “Rate the answer”. Clicking on the same star again removes the rating. After the assessment, a check mark appears to “allow the team to read this question and the answer”: without it, the team sees only the assessment, with it it will be able to figure out what went wrong. The ratings are read by the staff on the AI's Response Evaluation page.
